Another browser would be out in the public, er, I mean it’s already out just hours ago.

Google has just released Google Chrome web-browser and is already ready for download.

It had been known how Google wanted so much to have it’s own browser, except that it had given way to Mozilla Firefox and delayed the browser project.

But now, they just went into it and perhaps had added another major browser that is available out there after Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Safari.

Apple is coming up with some good news about iPod in the coming days. To be watched out for are new models for its iPod music players as well as sizeable price cuts that’ll make the sassy gadgets ever more enjoyable.

An analyst at American Technology Research, Shaw Wu, said the iPod line needed to be refreshed and the price of its iPod Touch models needed to be cut because they have a higher starting price than the iPhone, which includes a cellphone and other features not included in the Touch.

The Internet-ready iPod Touch starts at $299 in the United States, compared with $199 for the iPhone.

Update: In fact, the launching is now slated on September 9, dubbed as “Let’s Rock”.

Just about these times that I had been daydreaming about something concerning television—about how the way we should watch and enjoy it, in this age of supercomputers—Intel and Yahoo! has just recently announced the latest innovation in Internet technology by initiating the Widget Channel project . To be sure, this technology would entirely change the way TV viewers enjoy the ever-present boob-tube. The combination of TV and Internet is just the way to go for home entertainment.

Accordingly, Yahoo-branded TV widgets “will enable consumers to engage in a variety of experiences such as watching videos, tracking their favorite stocks or sports teams, interacting with friends, or staying current on news and information.”

Sometime ago, while I was watching TV at home by my lonesome, I had suddenly imagined someone, or some voice that was trying to catch my attention. “Hey you!” the voice said, “It’s me, Mr. Ryan Seacrest of American Idol”.

I would of course be so startled and would have asked the voice (to which I am not yet sure to where it came from) “Me? Are you talking to me?”

And the voice (allegedly that of the famous and handsome Ryan Seacrest) would say, “Yeah you, the one sitting on a rocking chair wearing an orange shirt. You just won a million dollars!!!” and other voices would suddenly come bursting out saying “Congratulations, you who is presently sitting in a rocking chair, from the Philippines!”; voices that should come from Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and the miraculously nice-sounding Mr. Simon Cowell.

Of course that scenario was just an illusion and if it had actually happened to me just most recently, I would have been so amazed and so startled that I wouldn’t be able to move from my rocking chair for some moments.

But someday, that scenario, where TV and Internet are fused together, allowing easy interaction between and among the viewers and the viewed, especially becoming useful for TV contests that give lots of money away, would no longer be so startling and so surprising, for in fact that’ll be just the future of the way we enjoy home entertainment.

And with the advent of Widget Channel, the future is so near. Thanks to Intel and Yahoo!

David Letterman says in his show that it was controversial. With this kind of album title, nobody’s surprise.

Controversy gets attention and so I sampled the music. Well, it is. “Rock and Roll Jesus” contains lyrics that is likely to ignite religious sentiments.

But hey, upon second look and on listening on the songs, I could say that Kid Rock may be preaching the right things rather than the malicious implications. Look deeper and hear more closely. Kid Rock is not blaspheming sacred faith. If he did, I wouldn’t listen at all.

“Amen” is definitely clean and believes in someone “Above”. “All Summer Long” has some good straight-forward message.

And the music, the music is just awesome. American rock is revived, finally. Kid Rock is preaching that.

In “Rock and Roll Jesus”, there’s one dangerous line there, like “sex, drugs and alcohol”, but that’s only one line. The rest could be saying the right things.

Kid Rock is transforming himself. He needs time. With patience, he might just do the right things and sing about it.

And again, the music is just awesome. No wonder it stays on the top of the Billboard Album Charts for several weeks now.

Wonder if web-browsing could be even better with ultra-modern PDA’s around—Palm and iPhones for example—well, you bet there could be such a scenario.

Enter UBIQUITY. Mozilla is launching this state-of-the-art program that would greatly enhanced web browsing while on the road.

One could e-mail, map addresses, search the web and saving updates all at once by allowing users one-touch funtionality.

Empower users to control the web browser with language-based instructions. (With search, users type what they want to find. With Ubiquity, they type what they want to do.)
Enable on-demand, user-generated mashups with existing open Web APIs. (In other words, allowing everyone–not just Web developers–to remix the Web so it fits their needs, no matter what page they are on, or what they are doing.)

Use Trust networks and social constructs to balance security with ease of extensibility.

Extend the browser functionality easily.

When I was in highschool, Michael Peralta, an old neighborhood friend from Carmen Street but who is now residing in Los Angeles, once spoke to me in a very animated fashion how the Philippines could one day become the richest country in the world. As a prelude, Michael said to me that his father had some vital information why a number of foreigners were in the country for a very secret purpose. I wondered loudly to him how secret it was and asked him if he could actually let me know some of the “secret’. He then informed me without hesitation that the foreigners were here mainly to study and find out ways on how to extract deuterium from the Philippine seas. I asked how come his father knew about all those stuff and what “deuterium” was in the first place. With gasping breath, and with gleaming pride for that matter, Michael told me as a matter of fact that his father was a war veteran and because of this, he had American contacts in the CIA. The CIA thing sounded preposterous to me at that time but when I recently read some articles in the Internet about deuterium, I started to wonder if the CIA talk of Michael was plausible after all and that maybe the CIA was behind the sudden departure of Michael’s whole family to Los Angeles later that year, where in a year’s time he was already driving a very exotic looking red corvette (might be from second hand store) as evidenced by a picture that he had sent to the neighborhood kids through a very kind uncle. This story may start to sound like a brimming Tom Clancy thriller but before anything gets out of hand, that CIA talk of Michael is just that and nothing else t o it I am pretty sure on that and their immigration to America was due mainly to his father being a USAFFE during World War II. But Michael’s rambling on deuterium was completely a different matter—it sounded to me then so awfully good that I had wished it to be true already even though it wasn’t true at all at that time, and even now.

There is really something to this issue on deuterium that lingers long and never goes away completely. It had been virtually popping and bobbing up in the local media every now and then—especially in the last couple of decades. The Cebu-based news outfit The Freeman published the most recent news article on deuterium. In that article, Freeman publicized a certain study on deuterium by a Filipino scientist working in a Canadian agency. Canada by the way is the world’s leading producer and consumer of deuterium as an energy source. There had been many rumors and hush-hush talks before about certain groups of foreigners, possibly American and sometimes German, that were in the country to initiate drilling projects that should siphon-off the coveted deuterium from the Philippine seas. All those talks just died down however and nobody really minded them, perhaps everyone just disregarded some weird-sounding element that is supposedly found in the Philippines in great volume. In fact, even as we speak now, I would not be surprised if Exxon or Shell has some of its people working night and day trying to unravel the key to gathering the millions of barrels of “white gold” underneath our seas.
